Many things make South Korea a tourist destination for Malaysians, apart from its Korean drama, culinary, tourist attractions and shopping tourism, it is also quite an option.

South Korea has recently become the spotlight of Indonesia's traveler to become a tourist destination. Lots of Indonesian young people flock to South Korea to be able to see first-hand romantic sights that often appear in Korean dramas. Starting from the mall, Korea bought a variety of products that appeared in advertisements to try various cuisines that often decorate reality shows on local Korean TV stations.

Inevitably, South Korea is indeed interesting to visit. But, you need to know, different countries, different cultures and habits of the people.

Knowledge of tradition, things that are allowed and not done are the main provisions that must be prepared in memory. Here is a stock of knowledge that must be attached to your head before setting foot in South Korea:

1. Begin the conversation with the words "Annyeong Haseyo"

If you are lost or confused, try starting your question or conversation with the word "Annyeong Haseyo". Usually, Koreans are more welcome with tourists who start the conversation with this word than the word "Excuse me".

Let me get excited, say thanks with the words "Kamsahamnida" or "Gomawo".

2. Do not line up the bus at any stop

Getting on a bus in Korea is quite complicated, but you can be economical if you take a bus. Launching from Moslor.com, in South Korea all buses will stop at the bus stop displaying the bus number. So, be more careful and alert.

3. Don't talk loudly when on public transportation, try also to listen to music / videos using a headset

Even though in Korean movies or dramas people like to talk loudly on the bus, but this is actually a little bit rude! If you don't want to be glared at, the person on the bus just stays quiet until he reaches his destination.

4. Don't take pictures of local people

Although the faces and physical appearance of South Koreans are similar to artists, you can't take pictures with a camera because Koreans don't really like being photographed. Unless you ask permission from them.

5. Accept the item using two hands

When you pay for food then the seller gives the change, accept it with both hands. Similarly, when you pay for the food you eat. This is a habit that cannot be separated from South Korean customs.

6. Because most tourist attractions open rather late, do not leave too early when traveling in South Korea

Although various public facilities in South Korea are always open 24 hours, some tourist attractions are open around 10 am. You don't have to wake up too early if you don't want to be disappointed and feel the cold piercing.

7. Food orders must be exhausted if you do not want to be reprimanded by food vendors

For those of you who love culinary tourism there are important things that you must know about the eating habits of Koreans. In Korea, you must eat the food served by the seller. You can't be picky. If you leave your food, culinary sellers will feel hurt.

8. Must call a taxi using the entire palm

In Korea, you can't call a taxi using one finger because this is considered rude. You have to use all of your palms (like calling someone: if in Indonesia). Remember that!

9. Don't give money to beggars

In South Korea there is a ban on giving money to beggars. If I don't get a reprimand, I don't need to beg for money when I'm in South Korea. At least to be safe.

10. Koreans are always disciplined. Don't try to slip in line!

In Indonesia, queuing is still a not-so-paid activity, but in South Korea the priority is always in line. If you don't want to be glared at and scolded by South Koreans, don't try to sneak in the queue.

11. Don't just cross even though the road is stretched

In South Korea there are special rules for crossing zebra. So, everyone who is going through zebra crossing must comply with this rule. If the lights are green you can cross, if the lights are red you can't cross.

Don't cross when the zebra crossing lights are red even though the streets are deserted, because it violates the rules. Okay?!

12. Don't throw trash carelessly if you don't want to be fined

Do you dare to litter in South Korea? Don't do it! The problem here is that you will be fined 1 million won if you are desperate to do it. Fantastic number.

Whatever you do will be recorded by CCTV because there are so many CCTVs in South Korea.

13. Don't wait and stop the taxi at the bus stop

Don't forget this one, yeah! The problem is this is prohibited.

14. You can belch freely when eating at a restaurant

As long as you know, the louder the sound of your joints is, the more you respect the cook. So different from Indonesia.

15. Don't smoke carelessly guys!

In South Korea there are also smoking rules. If you like smoking, try to smoke in a smoking place because later you can get a fine of 5 million won.

16. If you rent a car in South Korea, don't drive when you're drunk!

Drunk is a natural thing in South Korea. But, don't let you get caught on camera driving while drunk. This can make you get into trouble with the police because people who get drunk with an alcohol level of 0.05% who drive can get a fine of 500 thousand Won. If the alcohol content exceeds 0.05%, you can be jailed for 2 years. Must be careful, guys!
