Ji Suk Jin

Jin was born in Jungseon, Gangwon, South Korea on the 10th day of February 1966, as Jee Seok-jin. He took on the stage name Ji Suk Jin at some point in his career. He is a graduate of Business Administration from Ajou University.

The Korean entertainer is so secretive about his personal life, so, there isn’t so much information online about his early life or childhood.

Although he kicked off his career in 1992 as a singer, it is his comedy and MC career that gave him the fame and popularity he is proud of today. He was the main host of Star Golden Bell, a South Korean variety show which aired on KBS from 2004 to 2010. Although he left the show in 2009, his style of presentation became one that is almost irreplaceable.

When He Was a Singer

Currently, he is well known as one of the cast members on another South Korean variety show Running Man. He is one of the oldest members on the show and is often portrayed as the weakest link and one who is always left out by fans and guests. The other cast members of the show include Lee Kwang-soo, Kim Jong-kook, Song Ji-Hyo, Haha and Yoo Jae-suk.

Being a cast of Running Man

Being a TV host, presenter, MC and Comedian didn’t make Ji Suk Jin abandon his love for music. Twenty-two years after dropping his debut album “I Know”, he released a couple of new singles in 2014. In the same year, he collaborated with Club Soul to do a duet for KBS drama My Dear Cat and for Romance for 7 Days, the following year.

He soon released the latter song in both Korean and Chinese versions. The Chinese version broke through boundaries that it was received even in Mandarin-speaking regions and ranked 6th on the Chinese Baidu music charts.
